wedi Fundo® Shower Curbs

wedi® curbs and shower ramp are available in several options for shower entry designs where transitions are required, and can be installed with wedi Fundo® shower bases as well as conventional mortar bed systems. Waterproof and versatile, wedi® curbs and ramps may be tiled before glass doors, glass panels, or even glass blocks are installed. Epoxy glue is recommended instead of screw fasteners when installing into wedi’s solid foam curbs. Optionally, you can use our wedi® Shower Curb AT which features an integrated and centered anchor track (AT) made from solid PVC where fasteners can safely anchor into the curb. All wedi® curb options except wedi® S-DRY™ Curbs and wedi® Curb Caps, which work in combination with 2 x 4 framing support, are slightly sloped to direct water towards the drain of the shower. All wedi® curbs can carry a weight of 280 lbs./ft. minimum once tiled. When using the wedi® Shower Ramp instead of a curb, please note its design is ADA compliant featuring a slope of 1 ½ inch down to ¼ inch, and it can be installed using similar installation steps as used with wedi® curbs: the installation to the floor is made using thinset tile adhesive such as wedi® PRO-SET™ and with wedi® Joint Sealant applied continuously in between tight connections to the shower base, wall and bathroom floor underlayment. Additional sealant is applied over these seams, 1 inch wide on either side of the seam, and is spread flat with a putty knife.
